Hi,

I'm wondering how can I substitute the outcome of one command in
another without using for? That is, I want to evaluate one command and
pass the outcome as an argument to some other command, or script.

Under bash (in linux) this would be simply, for example:

./myscript `ls *.cpp`

I cannot find any information on how to do this in an equally simple
fashion.

Thanks for any help,
Karol

Hi Karol,

PowerCmd is actually an ease-to-use GUI for Windows Command Prompt. If
substituting the outcome cannot make in Windows command prompt, I'm
sorry that PowerCmd cannot make it.
I played command prompt and PowerCmd for a while, but still cannot
substitute the outcome of one command in another.

Thanks,
Paul
