Job Description –  

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Drupal development, production monitoring, and performance tuning
• Effectively guide cross-functional development scrum teams to troubleshoot and help provide solutions to address OS, application and any other issues
• Identify underlying root causes and provide recommendations and solutions for long term permanent fixes

 

Secondary Responsibilities:

• Provide ad hoc support for general project planning and technical design, including support of scheduling, development alignment with formal process reviews, prepare and deliver presentations pertaining to testing
• Support overall project execution as required, including requirements definition, support for design, and assistance in the development and documentation processes

 

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

• BA/BS or equivalent experience.
• At least 8 years of Drupal and PHP development experience
• Ideal candidate will have experience with SASS/SCSS and the USWDS front-end framework.
• Software design, software documentation, software development life process, and formal documentation standards, Track record with software requirements, structured analysis and design, teamwork, software maintenance, process improvement.
• Experience required with participating in Software design, software documentation, software development life process, and formal documentation standards, process improvement.
• Experience developing Drupal modules that implement custom entity types, forms, services, plugins, and event subscribers.
• Experience beyond Drupal theming and site building.
• Proficiency in PHP including OOP concepts, to implement desired functionality by either creating or tweaking custom Drupal modules.
• Collaborate with user experience, content strategy, product delivery, and non-technical program management teams.
• Experience with Git, Drush, Symphony, and Composer. 
• Knowledge of usability/accessibility standards of user interface development to produce code compliant for Section 508 accessibility; experience working with development tools that aid in this process.
• Hands on experience with Cloud technologies like AWS and Acquia
• Strong written and verbal/written communication and organizational skills, including grammar and business style.
• Agile scrum development
• Development for Drupal and supporting applications.
• Provide systems administration support for a DevOps environment.
• Work and refine backlog items to support ongoing deployments.
• Work closely with the product owner and agile development team.
• Exceptional critical thinking, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to multi-task and support development teams to ensure timely software development deliverables.
• Must demonstrate significant initiative, independence, ability to follow through, and an interest in learning our business are essential. 
• Security clearance or background check may be required at varying levels, depending on project assignments or roles.
