Looking at the website, it is hard to tell the current status of the upcoming season. The race schedule seems to be a mixture of 2016 and 2017 dates. Is there some other place where information is firming up? We'd like to commit to Kansas City, but want to be sure a race will be happening too :-)

I believe the 2016 dates are only relevant for Hack to the Future from Pittsburgh, and other time-travel focused teams.

The dates should be for 2017. I am changing the calendar to reflect the correct year. Other changes to the schedule will also be up soon.

I saw that Denver is no longer on the site. Is it not happening?

Thanks!
Greg

We currently do not have plans to race in Denver this season. Things can still change, but it is up to Denver Maker Faire, not us.

Are there any autonomous races this year? Will there be one at Pittsburgh? A Valparaiso University Team (and possibly Toberman Garage) will be building car(s) for next year and would try to make it to watch and see how the track is set up and how the cars navigate.

Although not associated with PPPRS the Sparkfun AVC is happening in October and will have some similar vehicles.  Check it out at https://avc.sparkfun.com

There will also be lots of smaller rovers there as well.

There is an autonomous demo contest in New York this weekend.

If there's enough interest we could do one in Pittsburgh

HackPGH will be there with SLAMborghini. I know at least one other team in PGH that is building an autonomous car. I'm operating under the assumption that we will have an autonomous race.
