PS1 has finally started working on our frame. This is first time I am building one from stratch instead of modifying an existing one. I can barely weld and I can sketch for shit. I build both cars from last year just eyeballing it as I went. The cop bike was built in on a 3 day weekend one year ago today. The E-Mag trike was designed by someone else and took a month to build.  Both were decidedly mediocre.  The year we are aiming for acceptable!

Sector67 has been making amazingly productive progress.  For example, last weeks build meeting minutes:

5:00pm: Talk about how amusing it is that we have so many tiny EV's around the shop lately
5:05pm: Realize all the batteries are charged
5:05pm-7:00pm: Parking lot drag races and 1v1 laps including an epic battle between a segway, and a pocket electric motorcycle with a borrowed 36V A123 nanophosphate pack.  And an overvolted wheelchair, vs a crazy imported electric bicycle.

Important breakthroughs were made in the areas of "Can two people fit on a pocket bike?" http://i.imgur.com/oByzr.jpg

oh, right. we also clocked an automatic nerf dart launcher at 10ms per shot.  http://www.sector67.org/blog/2012/ppprs-nerf-attack/

At some point we will probably get around to actually building our car. but so far, this is the best sport /ever/ :)
