Hello All,
This is Peter K. Chung, I am the logistics manger for Power of the
Lamb Ministries. By now, many of you may know that Atonte Myers has
been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. First off I ask you to please
keep the Myers family in your prayers. She is in good spirits and his
standing strong. Myself and Dr. Calvin Kim from Seattle, Washington
felt the burden to raise funds for her to get the treatment she is
seeking for her condition. The letter is below. Thank you again for
taking the time to read this letter. God bless!
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
I share this letter on behalf of the friends and family of Pastor
Ivor Myers and his wife Atonte and their four children Jaden, Joshua,
Jenesis, and Jaliyah. Many of you are familiar with and have been
richly blessed by the ministries of Ivor and Atonte such as Power of
the Lamb Ministries, Operation Global Rain, and Battles of Faith 3ABN
Television program, which Ivor and Atonte co-host. Ivor and Atonte
also serve at the Templeton Hills Seventh-day Adventist Church in
California, where Ivor is the pastor.
Ivor and Atonte focus their ministry on prayer and the supernatural
power of God to deliver those who are in bondage to sin. They have
dedicated their lives to prepare a people to stand in these last days
and frequently base their messages on themes of spiritual warfare and
conflict. Today however, they are facing perhaps one of the greatest
to battles to strike their family. Many of you may have heard the
news that has deeply saddened our community of believers; Atonte has
been recently diagnosed with the debilitating disease, Multiple
Sclerosis.
Despite the seriousness of the disease, the Myers are determined to
overcome through the power of prayer and not let this hinder their
work for the Lord. In fact, I’ve recently had the privilege of
serving together with Ivor and Atonte in launching a new project
called ARME Bible Camp, a ministry designed to equip and train
Christians. Ivor and Atonte work tirelessly and I’ve been so
inspired witnessing their passion and dedication to the Lord’s
work.
For those of you who are inspired like me to do something for this
family, we first and foremost ask you to join fellow prayer warriors
in attacking this on our knees. Pray the prayer of healing in James
5:13-15. Secondly, we are collecting an offering that will go towards
sending Atonte and her family to Wildwood Lifestyle Center and
Hospital in Georgia for treatment. Atonte, a believer and advocate
for the Adventist health message, desires to combine God’s natural
remedies and faith in treating this illness. When the news of Atonte
was raised in my church prayer meeting, it inspired the church leaders
to set up a fund to send Atonte and her family to Wildwood.
Please help us to raise funds, any amount - $20, $50, $100, or more
will help. You can write a check payable to Southcenter SDA Church and
mail it to 1925 NE 35th Pl Renton, WA 98056. Memo: Atonte Myers
fund. All funds raised will be used to send Atonte and her family to
Wildwood and tax deductible. In the event the giving exceeds the
expenses we will update you on how you would like the donations
allocated but we promise to use it for the cause of the gospel.
Please send this e-mail to others that you know that have been blessed
by the ministry of the Myers family.
In Christ,
Calvin Kim
