Assistance with POWDER Node Access After Scheduled Maintenance - July 29th

Hello Team,

I hope this email finds you well.I am writing to request assistance with accessing my POWDER experiment node following the scheduled maintenance that occurred on July 29th at 6am MDT.

Background: I am conducting spectrum analysis research using the POWDER platform and have been running a long-term RF data collection experiment. My experiment was processing RF spectrum data and had successfully collected approximately 98.44 million frequency measurements (922.4 MB) from 1000+ files when the scheduled maintenance occurred.

Current Issue: Since the scheduled power outage/maintenance this morning, I am unable to connect to my assigned node:

• Node hostnames tried:
  • pc492.emulab.net
  • node0.devarf.nrdz.emulab.net
• Username: Deva9
• Error: "Unable to connect" or connection timeout
• Last successful connection: July 28th evening

Process Status: Before the maintenance, my data collection process (PID: 1759358) was running successfully and had just completed processing 1000 files with the following final status:

• Total unique rows: 98,440,000
• Output file: july_week1_streaming.csv.gz (922.4 MB)
• Last batch completed: July 29 00:29:40

Request for Assistance:

1. Could you please verify if node pc492 is fully online and accessible after the maintenance?
2. Is there any additional recovery time needed for the node?

pc492 is back up now, it did not come up properly after the power outage.

Unfortunately, Powder (and Emulab and Cloudlab) are cut off from the
Internet right now due to an upstream routing problem. That is being
actively worked on, and once that is resolved you should be able to access
your node again.
