Hello,

I was just wondering if there was a way to test changes to a profile.py file without reserving resources and running the full experiment on the resources.

Thanks,
Wesley

Hi Wesley,

What kind of changes do you want to test? If it involves allocating
resources, really the only way to test is to instantiate (and make a
reservation if one is required for the resources in question). If you
want to check syntax, parameters, post-parameter logical/virtual
topology and such, you can just update your profile with the new
script. If there is an error, the web UI will pop it up, and otherwise
you can see what the changes to the parameters do, and what effect
they have by just going through the "parameterize" step of
instantiation.

Best,
