Hello Parents!
The School of Communication (SCM) of the University of Asia & the Pacific (UA&P) will be offering a 10-session program on business presentations for high school students this summer. There will be a pilot program, which will run in April. We are also currently thinking of running another one in May. Thus, I am writing. I would like to know if there are enough people interested. This is of course, open to any high school student--male or female. Each class will run 3 hours with only 8 participants per class.
The program is crafted to teach young people how to craft effective presentations--and not just the technical side of it--but the crucial marriage of content and form, which we've found both young (evidenced by our students) and old (experience from our participants in corporate life) need quite a lot of assistance with.
With the changes that come with the K1 to 12 shift in curriculum (i.e. college subjects brought down to high school), we think it would be beneficial for young people to learn the ropes of college-style (in fact, even business style) presentations.
Thank you.
