 SUMMER ART COURSES

in Lady Bay

Two 5-DAY THEMED SUMMER COURSES (mornings only)

 

suitable for all levels from beginners to advanced

ages 14 - adult

 

Bring out your creative side and enjoy learning new art skills at Fran and Rod’s Seymour Road Studios.

 

Rod and Fran, both experienced artists and teachers, are offering two very special opportunities to explore a theme across all of the disciplines which we offer - drawing, painting, print-making, and pottery.

 

27-31 July:             “In the garden”

3-7 August:           “Faces, Feet & Hands”

 

Courses run from 10am-1pm each day, price: £95 pp inc all materials etc.  Courses run subject to sufficient interest - min 3, max 8 students per course. 

 

Not an artistic bone in your body?  It’s a cry we‘ve heard often before and we’re delighted to help you to prove that fear wrong.  Working on the basis that enjoyment is the best route to learning, we guide you through basic techniques building your confidence and enabling you to develop your own ideas as you progress.

 

Playful exploration will be the mood of each course, with hands on guidance from Fran and Rod, and with everyone learning from each others’ steps.  Each themed course will begin with simple sketches and drawings, developing these with colour into paint and print on days 2 + 3.  Day 4 will be spent exploring the design potential of our work and developing ideas to work up on day 5 in 2D or in 3D in clay. 

 

Fran and Rod also offer a programme of weekly workshops in painting & drawing, print-making and pottery which extend throughout the academic year – contact us to be added to our email mailing list for updates  on our timetable.  Classes run in termly blocks of 10-12 weeks from September ( price £100-£120 per term).   We also provide tailor-made trouble-shooting training days for teams and individuals as well as celebration art sessions for your special occasion...
