Happy New Year everyone.
For those of you who haven't seen/heard it yet, there's a new interview by Rick Beato with Steve Morse, here:
The interview is bookended by a couple of beautiful, melodic guitar instrumentals performed live. At around the 55 minute mark, Steve talks about the challenge of trying to step into an established band like Kansas or Deep Purple and be accepted by the diehard fans.
Personally, I really appreciated what Steve brought to Kansas for the brief time he was there. Never had the opportunity to see him in concert with Kansas but I was lucky enough see him with Deep Purple twice.
I still enjoy listening to the Kansas King Biscuit Flower Hour live recording from 1989. The band was on fire that night.
