Yeah, I'm surprised too. It may be that something came up suddenly in his family that needs to be dealt with.

This was a tough one to hear about for sure. When David and Greg R departed in 1997 we knew, at least for David, what the future might look like, solo album, several shows happening and then a few other groups before he ended up in Vegas.
Excited about opportunities with Joe for sue but also a bit melancholy about when I might be able to hear more from David!

Joe isn't mentioned in the article I linked, but they talk about him on the Kansas band website. No one I've ever heard of, but someone who plays violin and guitar, and is apparently the "Jimi Hendrix of violin."

I have to admit that I had forgotten that he had made an album right before he died. Still hard to believe that he's gone.
