They got the offer for the record deal from Don Kirshner?

 

‘Can I Tell You’ caught his ear, and that’s how they got the record deal?

 

I heard Kansas was playing in a Topeka hall for free and, offered free beer also so the house was crowded to the top.

 

They had invited Wally Gold, who then was more than impressed…..
