Subject: PRSA Dinghy Invite: MVYC Founders' Cup and After Party (11/1/25)

Hello all,

Former PRSA sailor here. Mount Vernon Yacht Club would like to invite all PRSA boats to compete in our upcoming 11/1 Founders' Cup and After Party. This is an interclub Keelboat and Dinghy regatta for clubs on the Potomac. Races will be conducted for Dinghy, PHRF Spin, and PHRF Non-Spin classes, with the first race beginning at 1100. Dinghy trailer spots and transient slips are available at MVYC for travelling competitors. 

Barney Harris was our dinghy champion last year – would love to see Barney or another PRSA sailor on top again this year!

The After Party is a blast, and includes live music, dancing, Mission BBQ dinner, drinks, and an awards ceremony. We are extending the party an additional hour this year with the band, so set your expectations high for an incredible night! The party begins at 1900 at the Mount Vernon Yacht Club, located at 4817 Tarpon Ln, Alexandria, VA 22309.

If anyone is interested in joining on our C&C for a keel boat race at Mt Vernon Yacht Club Saturday, Nov 1st let me know. So far Eva, Marisa, myself are onboard.

First race is 11 am but would need to leave WSM around 830 am for the 2 hr transit. No race after 3:30 so aim to be back at WSM around 6 or so. After party back at the yacht club at 7 pm.

After party is $25 per person.
