Kurokos Basketball is an anime series adapted from the manga series of the same name by Tadatoshi Fujimaki. It is produced by Production I.G[1] and directed by Shunsuke Tada, it began broadcasting on Mainichi Broadcasting System on April 7, 2012 with Tokyo MX, Nippon BS Broadcasting, and Animax beginning broadcast in the weeks following.[2] The final episode of season 1 aired on September 22, 2012 and it was announced in the seasonally published Jump NEXT! winter issue that a second season has been green-lit,[3] and aired on October 5, 2013.[4] The series was also simulcast on Crunchyroll as part of their spring lineup of anime titles.[5] Kuroko's Basketball centres on the "Generation of Miracles", the regulars of the Teikō Middle School basketball team who rose to distinction by demolishing all competition. After graduating from middle school, these five stars went to different high schools with top basketball teams. However, a fact few know is that there was another player of the "Generation of Miracles", the phantom sixth player. This mysterious player is now a freshman at Seirin High, a new school with a powerful, if little-known, team. Now, Tetsuya Kuroko, the phantom sixth member of the "Generation of Miracles", and Taiga Kagami, a naturally talented player who spent most of middle school in America, are aiming to bring Seirin to the top of Japan, taking on Kuroko's old teammates one by one.

The series' first DVD and Blu-ray compilation was released on July 27, 2012[6][7] with a new DVD/Blu-ray compilation being released monthly. As of December 2012, seven DVD/Blu-ray compilations have been released.[8][9]

On October 19, 2020, the SAG-AFTRA listed and approved an English dub for the series under the "Netflix Dubbing Agreement".[10] The first season's English dub debuted on Netflix on January 15, 2021,[11] with its second season on May 15,[12] and its third season on September 18.[13]

This is a list of episodes in the Kuroko no Basuke anime. The first season of the anime aired from April until September 2012, a total of 25 episodes. The second season was announced and premiered October 2013 and ended March 2014, with a total of 25 episodes. The third season's first episode premiered January 10th.

I decided to make a review of kuroko no basket because I admired the previous episode-episode 4- so much that I promised myself to make a review for the current episode. Without further ado, here are some of my favourite moments:

The episode starts off where we left off in the last one with a bit of a back track. We see Kiyoshi missing the second free throw and the game ending in a tie because Midorima made that clutch block. In order to save time, there are no overtime rules in the tournament and that means that both Seiring and Shutoku are going to receive a tie on their record for the preliminaries. The only way for them to advance now is to win their next games. Shutoku will be fine. It is Seirin that has to take on a crownless king in the next game. add that to the fact that Kiyoshi is having knee problems and we are looking at a big issue. The kids find out about the health issue and Hyuuga takes us into a flashback from last year. There was no basketball club at Seirin and Kiyoshi is trying to start one. Hyuuga would be great for it, but he gave up basketball and bleached his hair. Kiyoshi remains persistant as it is obvious that Hyuuga still loves basketball. They play one-on-one and Hyuuga spills his guts. The guy hates losing and that really got to him in middle school. We know how the story ends, but seeing the old team is pretty cool.

The only thing that I was truly begging for was some character development for the other characters in the series. Kagami and Kuroko are cool and all, but it would be nice to see a little something for everyone else. Well, we got that in this episode. There was a flashback initiated to tell the story of how the Seirin basketball team came to be. There was no club before Hyuuga and company showed up. It took the drive of Kiyoshi and the others to set that one up. Losing sucks and it really got to a lot of people in middle school. Having to deal with the Generation of Miracles does that to people. That made Hyuuga give up on basketball and he dyed his hair blonde. We got to see a side of Hyuuga that I was not used to and that was interesting. Also, seeing more of Mitobe and the others is basically necessary at this point. Overall, I am extremely happy to see these developments. Also, the little things that point to a romance between Hyuuga and Riko are always welcome. They are my favorite couple in this series.

Welcome back to the final game in the final arc of Kuroko's Basketball, where things just keep getting more intense. Though many spring anime shows are ending now, we've fortunately got quite a bit more Kuroko to go, and we're going to need it. This final game is packed with more twists and turns than all the previous games combined, and I hope you're as excited as I am to see how many episodes we can fit into covering its fourth quarter.

On the other hand, it could be Kagami. Kagami is reaching his physical limit and things are looking bad. It's a fantastic metaphor when Kagami sees the court as foggy and dim, with only the basketball illuminated. He's perceiving everything in near darkness as his strength starts to give out. If only he could open that door to the Zone below the Zone, right? When Seirin's ace is down for the count, so is everyone else. It's yet more of Fujimaki's usual sadism toward his golden team, making things awful for them before they get better.

In the end, the title wasn't referring to any of these people. It was referring to Kuroko. Kuroko is an enormous presence in the psyches of the ace basketball players around him, even playing the role of a mental gatekeeper who welcomes them into the true Zone. The true Zone is teamwork, as Aomine realizes, laughing with tears running down his cheeks. Aided by his team, Kagami is depicted in a Tron-like environment, with neon lasers and flames and outer-space nebulae shifting around him as he synchronizes perfectly with his team. The episode took some serious creative liberties with backdrops to visualize the otherworldliness of the characters' growth and staggering ability, and it's beautiful to look at.

As far as we've come, this game is not over yet. Everyone seems to have reached their full potential, and the score is still tied. Now, it's time to see if this game's ending will be as satisfying as its fourth-quarter buildup. Kuroko's Basketball has always been well-animated, but this episode in particular has put that strength to expert use.
