Nowthe reason this is such a stupid idea is because some skills in said masteries later game literally do NO damage and some masteries just feel like buff masteries rather than doing any actual damage. Now if you chose a buff mastery in the early game not realizing what said mastery was for then you would have came to the same conclusion as I did. You have to restart your character all over again for it to probably happen again.

I currently play a MMORPG that has shrines that players can go to and have either their statistics reset or their skill points reset. It allows players the ability to theorycraft and experiment with the same class without having to reroll and repeat content (which just creates frustration).

After focusing on a specific class combination or experimental direction for their build, it would be nice to rectify any potential mistakes or undesired outcomes with the ability to reset points rather than punish the player by having them start over with the same class combination just to try out another direction.

Make it a scalable fee that increases with every respec but at lease give players the option to reset the base skill points yet STILL retain the same class choices (reset all but 1 point in each skill tree?), ESPECIALLY if a new patch changes the effects or potency of a skill tree so drastically that they would rather redistribute the base skill points and/or character statistics.

It's a very fair question to ask ELicious. Some games do allow a sort of reset of skills and such though Ascaron prefers not to provide this option. So as the others have said it is not a possibility in Sacred 2. However! If you wanted to test things out you could test build ideas in Single player or LAN. What you would do is start a new character and then back up your character before making choices. Your Single Player or LAN characters are stored in your Saved Games folder which is in (VISTA)C:\Users\USERNAME\Saved Games. All you need to do is make a copy of that folder and rename it to something else. Then if you want to play your backed up characters you can just copy the files in the backed up save games and paste them into your Saved Games folder.

Thanks. It's kind of disappointing to see next-gen games with no re-spec option, even if it's a costly one. The concept just seems archaic and outdated to me. Does anyone know of a trainer or character editor available so I can fix my mods?

Old school gaming? Maybe it could be called that. It's certainly harder, no shortcuts allowed, and the best builds that can last it out in Niobium will be built by the most thorough researchers and those who want to read the forums, make friends, and involve themselves in trades with other players for MP, and yes, choose to spend a lot of time on this game.

In all fairness Gogo, Elicious has a valid point. Players are making choices, many times completely uninformed. For them, they simply want to play and if choices did not suit them, not have to start completely over. For some, having to research and having to plan hundread of levels in advance ruins the fun and discovery in the game..making it simply a calculated grind...Bottom line if you feel your charatcer is ruined, it is unfun.

As for the concept of "old school" gaming and shortcuts, I do not think that is a fair assessment. If we are refering to the original Diablo. You really could not mess up your charatcer too badly there..very simple development...invest some attributes...keep some attribute gear handy to "twink" you charatcer by learning higher skill levels than their standard attributes allowed. There wasn't even weapon swaping, you wanted to switch..you had opened your inventory! Perhaps we need to remove the short cuts allowing multiple weapon configuartions to give it more more of an old school feel?! Better yet, if you died in a game you dropped your gear and it would be lost if the game connection died..if you were lucky you could get your items back..or solicite other players to join you game and help you recover your corpse. Lastly, your attacks could hit other players, even if you were working together..you still could take out your friends accidently with friendly fire attacks. Oh yes, the original Battlenet Diablo experience, lets bring back old school! Kidding Old school indeed!

Sacred has a far more complicated charatcer development system than is typical in the genre and infact is overwhelming for some players. Personally for single players and softcore, I see no harm in allowing a reset of skill points, attributes, and learned rune levels...leave the one mistake and it is over..in the Hardcore option

I think it's usually the hardcore gamers (as in, those who invest a lot of time/energy in Sacred 2) who don't want the respec option, while the casual gamers want it (since they don't have the time/will/etc to restart a character). I can understand why casual gamers want it & I don't think that they should be "forced" to restart a character if they find out that it's not developing as they were expecting (even if the descriptions in the game were perfect), after all, games are about having fun, whether your a hardcore gamer or a casual gamer. We don't force SC gamers to play HC do we Gogo? That's a similar concept to having a respec.

This is something I kinda have a love/hate perspective on. I remember I played titan quest a bit and it made it really nice because you could mess with new builds easy and there was no regrets, but as mentioned it also drastically can reduce the lifespan of the game as you dont have to work to try new builds out. Major problem with these types of games is there tends to be only a few people who go out of there way to make the "cookie cutter" builds and the other 90% of the people follow there guides as they dont want to waste time trying to figure out a build for themselves.

I personally fall into that 90% who likes to follow others guides as I really am quite bad at planning ahead, at least on my first few toons anyways. Its the kind of thing that can make or break a game, but in the end im kinda glad you cant respec as people would abuse it to give them selves advantages in different areas of the game and it would also mean that no single persons toon would have a personality.

What do you think about the control of stampede? I mean there is enough people calling us huntards for accidentally barraging mobs (did they lessen the distance of barrage in alpha?). Now with stampede being a straight effect, possibly agreeing more mobs and the fact Hati is uncontrollable, this could mean a even worse rep for hunters. What are your opinions?

Also forgot to mention, I was watching Nobbel play and there was no snake crossbow for bm. That was my favorite look out of them all for bm.Nor has there been a sixth model for bm compared to most classes on wowhead.

So far I am enjoying this iteration of Beast Mastery. I do find it amusing that currently Volley is back, but does no damage and has no animation.

I do not miss having Cobra shot with a cast time. Not at All. I might go back to pvping if they keep BM the way it is, Fast and furious.

I would have preferred titan trike to be an alternate artifact for marks and instead had a story tied into troll/night elf lore be the beast mastery weapon (preferably a bow). Then had survival be something more orcish/dranei themed.

being a person whos played beast mastery over the entire expansion of WoD im deffinately not shelfing my beast master hunter i can see theres still alot of kinks but thats no reason for me to dislike my hunter nor want to marksmanship once a beast master always a beast master bad rep or no i honestly love my class even if its still funky lol

The Homestead is a housing system introduced in the PWI Elysium expansion. Players are able to obtain their own space which they can customize to their liking. They can shape the landscape, place buildings, trees, flowers and more. The Homestead also offers materials for skill upgrades, materials for Dragonbreath Weapons and other rewards such as Star Chart items and War Avatar Cards.

After you obtain your Homestead, you can access it from the menu at the bottom right of your screen. Once you click the icon to enter your Homestead, you will be teleported inside. The Homestead is an instanced space, but unlike Dungeons it does not have a timer and other players are able to enter without a squad. You cannot enter your Homestead if you are outside a safe zone or you are in PK mode (which displays a set of swords next to your name).

Once inside, your character's Health and Mana bars will be replaced by the Homestead interface. If you wish to see your character's interface you can click on the small arrow at the top left of the Homestead interface.

In the Homestead's interface, you can see your Homestead's level, experience, Prosperity, Cleanness, and energy. Below you have three buttons with the names M, Q and E. Clicking on E will allow you to exit the Homestead. Q will bring up the Homestead quest log. M will bring up the management window.

In the management window, you can see the values of your Homestead. When the Homestead has enough experience to level up, the Up button will light up and clicking it will bring your Homestead to the next level. The Homestead will not level up automatically. If you do not manually click the Up button, the Homestead will continue to accumulate experience without leveling up. If your Homestead does not level when clicking this button, try hovering over it and check that the level and boundary requirements have been met.

Below your Homestead values, you can see your resources and the Exchange button which allows you to trade materials at a 1:2 ratio. This is useful for when you're running low on certain materials but have an excess of others and want to craft an item.
