Hi to all fellow potatoesJ

Taking on from Elefterios’s and Stefania’s introductory messages I would like to say a few things about myself.

I have a BSc in Biochemistry, an MSc in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology and a PhD in Biochemistry. Since my PhD I have been involved in projects looking into cancer metastasis and ways of inhibiting this life threatening process. I have spent most of my adult life in the UK. My attempt to return to Greece and transfer my skills there was masked by the tremendous level of corruption that I faced both at Universities and Research Institutes. I feel very strongly about this and unless it changes we will not be able to proceed, evolve and grow to our full potential.

At the moment I am based at the Cancer Research UK institute in Cambridge.

I have been involved in charity and science promoting events. I was introduced to the idea of this project by Eleftherios and I’m looking forward in meeting all of you in the next meeting.
