Hello everyone!
There is an interesting event/meeting taking place this weekend in
Athens, at the Microsoft innovation Centre for software developers,
business, marketing people, investors, etc. I thought it would be a
good idea to go to this event and promote the potato project and try
to attract some funding too! I may find people who are interested and
can work with me during this event (2 days) to build a simple
experimental website where people can upload proposals, edit and vote.
We can later use this experimental website as a demo for our project.
Our initial target group could be organizations/companies who are
willing to pay to get this application in order to achieve consensus
from all their stakeholders on a specific decision before taking
action. I know that some companies would be interested in having
access to such an application so I could design a business concept
around it. I have the time to do this and I would be happy to do it.
So what do you think? Shall i do this? Is anyone interested/available
tomorrow at 5pm to join me maybe? My number is 6977040804.

Best,
Ioanna

Sounds great! You might need more than 2 days :-) I hope at least one of our developers can join you.

I say go for it! Definitely! But don't forget that our final goal is this application to be available for anyone. So, we don't want to promise any
closed and restrictive agreements. But, I am sure that you already know this.

So, +1 from me. Let us know how it goes. And how we could help.

Best,
Ioanna

Just to give a short status report from my side: I will try to meet today with Peter Economides and see if he can be helpful to our project and on the 22 I will attend the Cambridge Enterprise Symposium. Still quite busy with the thesis though.

Best wishes,
Eleftherios

Hello all,

Together with Magda we attended Peter Economides talk. The talk was brilliant and very well structured. Better that what we expected it to be. Peter is working on a new platform called ginetai.com (under preparation) which will try to bring together many different genius Greek minds from many different places in the world and give them the opportunity to inspire the rest of the population with their work using state-of-the-art branding strategies. Unfortunately, Peter had to leave immediately in order to catch his plane from the very short discussion we had he got very interested in the potato project and he even suggested to visit us again in Cambridge very soon.

Magda would you like to add anything more?

Go Go Team!
To infinity and Beyond!
Eleftherios

p.s. I 've heart some rumours that Ioanna & Alexandros kicked ass at the startup meeting. Can't wait for the news.

Well Done Guys and Girls!, Sorry not being able to participate this time. I am on a rush fixing thing for my PhD plus my Web Store so very very busy these days (Survival instinct comes first).

However, I am very soon getting involved with Django-Satchmo platform which is a very open and very agile for develping web Sites or Web Apps ultra fast. My main goal is to make a trasition to this tech for my Job.

The know-how, thought, will me immediately transfered to the Potato project as soon as I will be able to create a very very simple core engine i.e. A Web App Running on the web directly or via Mobile Phone browsers.

Note to the Developers of the team: Please check out webOS that can run on any platform with using the same code. A VERY important  module for productive and cheep way to spread the "Potato Signal" fast.

My opinion... make it work and they will come!

So, in case you need me to do something very specific that requires 1-2 days of work I am willing to do it.

Cheers to all!

Hello Dimitris,

However we learned that you did actually managed to join the team on Sunday and joined the fun.
It would be nice to have a short summary of the event and the impressions. Ioanna?

There is also a google doc where we gather information on the topic. Here is the link.
