Dear Members of POSYDON developers,

I am a faculty at IIT Bombay, India.
I wanted to ask a question about using POSYDON. I was trying to reproduce one of the high mass runs using HMS-HMS.ini using MESA r11701 (as in this link https://posydon.org/POSYDON/tutorials-examples/MESA-grids/1_hms_hms.html

I'm getting these errors --

f951: Warning: Nonexistent include directory '/home/IITB/CompnalAstrphyNRelvity/rahulkashyap/astrocodes/mesa-r11701/include' [-Wmissing-include-dirs]

../src/run_star_extras.f:671:0:

I copied few files from mesa-r11701/star/job to mesa-r11701/include which took it a step further but still have these errors --

   25 |       use star_lib

      |           1

Fatal Error: Cannot open module file 'star_lib.mod' for reading at (1): No such file or directory

compilation terminated.

  671 |       include 'formats'

      |

Fatal Error: Cannot open included file 'formats'

compilation terminated.

Could you please share the link to the exact mesa version used?

Many thanks and Best,

Rahul,

We are indeed using version 11701. These errors seem like they are related to correctly linking to your MESA installation. Can I just confirm that: 1) MESA is correctly installed using MESA SDK 20190503, 2) your MESA_DIR is set to the correct location (your MESA directory), and 3) you are able to run examples from the MESA test_suite?
