Thecolor-coded Quran is a popular tool for people who are learning to read and understand the Quran. The color-coded Quran features different colors for different types of text, which makes it easier to identify and understand the different parts of the Quran.

The color-coded Quran can be used as a guide to help you navigate the text more easily. For example, If the pink colour is used for Ikhfa, then make sure to make a nasal sound when you see a letter in pink. If the Blue colour identifies the rule of Qalqalah, then make sure to bounce your sound when you see a letter in blue.

This humble effort is an attempt to facilitate the Tilaawah of the Quran with Tajweed. Seven different colors shades have been used and each color represents a Tajweed Rule. The Colour Coding system has been introduced to highlight the Rules of Tajweed found in the Quranic text. Having a color block on the Tajweed Rule allows he reciter to emphasize the aCCent, phonetics, rhythm and temper of the Quranic recitation. It is imperative for the reciter to have a working knowledge of the Rules of Tajweed in order to know how to pronounce the letters on which emphasize has to be laid. We shall appreciate feedback, if any, on this color coded concept for the benefit of the reciter.

The color coded Quran is intended to facilitate and enhance the reading of the Quran with tajweed. It is produced by color coding the various rules. For example where ikhfa is to be observed, the word is highlighted with blue; where qalqala is to be observed red is used. A legend at the bottom of every page describes the color codes providing for a quick reference. Based on a practical understanding of phonology, we have color-coded the place of some letters to facilitate the correct recitation of the holy quran. This had enabled us to classify these letters within 3 possible categories to enhance the reader's knowledge and remembrance of tajweed rules.

The reader will get used to reciting the quran by using color just as he got used to stopping at red lights and passing though green lights. By engaging I this sublime act, the reader will find him self applying 24 rules of tajweed with ease and precision while his mind is left free to contemplate and understand the meaning of holy quran.
