Good afternoon everyone.

My name is Robert and I am a developer from Brighton, England. (@SirRawlins) I'm a big fan of utilizing 3rd party services within the applications we develop, PostMark being one of them.

We're primarily a ColdBox/ColdFusion house, but also have experience with Rails and Python. We build applications for a variety of different businesses, such as multi-channel retail, or customer relationship management.

We also have a couple of pet projects bubbling away in the lab, the first of which should be going into alpha testing within the next month or so. (I may be looking to rope in some of you to get your professional opinions.)

I personally am a big advocate of utilizing sketches and wireframes in the design process, this is something I'm speaking on in the coming weeks http://www.sotr.eu/index.cfm/main/presentation

Look forward to speaking with you guys regarding PostMark development. In particular sending high volumes of email, and the best ways to throttle those and manage load and mail queues.

Cheers chaps,

Robert

Thanks for inviting me Alex.

I'm not quite sure what's going on with the group, I appear to be getting two of every email.

Don't worry about the dupe emails, I think it's because the email came to a different address to what I have tied to my Google Groups account, so it's sending a copy to each.

I'll do some tidying up.

Sorry.

Hi everyone,

I did the first version of the Postmark CFC (ColdFusion Component),
but I must admit that I've neglected it since. I've got plans to use
Postmark in another project I've got coming up, so chances are that
the CFC will again see some love.

Hi Jon and others,

I started off by writing the Postmark .NET component, but am now the
API development lead for the product.

I was an early adopter who just had to have the beta, and have always
been a fan of how this service works and have a vision for what it
could be.

I've been working with the API for just over a month now, and am
already running with some great new features I hope we can get in your
hands this month.

The team here is single-mindedly devoted to building great products,
I'm looking forward to growing with you all.

Cheers,

Daniel

Hi all,

I am the author of two Zend Framework components allowing for easily slotting in Postmark into Zend Framework based PHP applications. The libraries are available over at https://github.com/phiali

Haven't had as much time as I'd like to add to them but will be adding support for attachments in the near future.

Morning Everyone,

Good to meet you all.

@Jon - I've not looked at the CFC, I've only written the mailer plugin for ColdBox, it's designed purely for mail distribution though, I need to look at a separate library for getting bounce information and suchlike, I'll look at your component, I'd be happy to help you dust it off and tidy it up.

@Daniel - The new API sounds great. We're BeanStalk users too so big WildBit fans, I can quite imagine working for them is great fun. You guys have a real nack for developing great apps.

@Alistair - I've not worked with Zend before, looks really good though. It's always nice to see a slightly different take on an existing platform. In the CF world we've got a lot of similar movement behind Railo at the moment http://www.getrailo.org/

Look forward to working with you guys.

Robert - we're going to be launching a list like this for the
Beanstalk API, since we've seen some recent activity around it - 2
iPhone apps and what appears to be a decent API wrapper in PHP.

More new folks - introduce yourselves!

That sounds great Alex. I've not yet used it for looked at the API for BeanStalk, we just use the service.

I do have an interesting idea for an application which may integrate with it though. Although it's just a sparkle in my eye at the moment.

Hello world!

We started using Postmark when it still was in beta, because we had
mayor issues sending emails from our server/applications. Needless to
say, we haven't looked back since, and are now using it in all our
projects. I don't think there was a PHP library when we decided to
jump aboard, so we decided to write our own.

https://github.com/Znarkus/postmark-php

I'm co-owner and developer at mimmin.com, a web company located in
Sweden. We are most proud of our Snowfire -- a web platform -- but
otherwise wholeheartedly enjoy creating beautiful, functional and
easy-to-use web apps.

Have a great day
Markus & the mimmin team

Hi everyone!

I wrote the Python library and Django plugin (along with some
contributors who have hopped onboard).

http://github.com/themartorana/python-postmark

I initially built it for fun and to help promote Postmark, but since
then have started eating my own dog food.

Hi All,

I've been using the Ruby gem on Ohours.org

Still a tiny user of the platform but a fan!

Hi all,

I'm software developer at Wildbit, working on Postmark and Newsberry. I started working here half a year ago and since then loved the way Wildbit does things. My current preoccupation is NoSQL layer - namely CouchDB. We will soon have some news regarding this.

I'm looking forward to participate in this group and meet all of you guys.

Cheers,
