There is nothing more inspiring than a person working with full devotion to achieve great milestones in their lives. This is the idea behind the theme of our Lecture Series ' समर्पण ', in which we are pleased to invite you to listen to our guest speakers who have worked for years, often decades with selflessness, patience, and a deep desire to fulfill their vision. We at समर्पण marvel at the dedication you have worked with and achieved their vision and milestones, and feel honored to have them with us to share their journey and motivation.
The details of the speakers are as follows:
Mr. Jaya Prakash Dabral - Co-founder & President, Himalayan Chipko Foundation
JP Dabral is a social entrepreneur and social activist. Honored by the Ashoka Fellowship, Real Heroes Award by CNN IBN, International Green Apple Award by Green Organization, U.K. and the India Awaken Award by Hindustan Times. He has lived a very inspiring life, encapsulating a decade-long crusade that has saved thousands of trees in Uttarakhand.
Dr. Sanjeev Rai - Educationist, Development Adviser, and Writer
An Adjunct Professor with Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, Dr. Sanjeev Rai has worked earlier as Sr. Education Specialist with Swedish Committee for Afghanistan, Education Above All Foundation, Qatar and with Save the Children, UNICEF, CARE and Aga Khan Foundation in India. He is an expert on the school education, child protection and education in conflict. He is the author of the book - Conflict, Education and the People's War in Nepal, published by Routledge.
