Understanding shortcut Send and Archive

According to the help page it is Ctrl + Shift + Option + Enter.

First, what is meant by Option key and second, when I use Ctrl + Shift + Enter the message is sent but still remains in my inbox.

So I just figured out that the Option key refers to the Alt key on Windows keyboards.
