My postbox 5.0.20 offered me 5.0.22.
When I took it, the new version DID NOT DISPLAY ANY WINDOWS!
The "Troubleshooting" window actually did display -- halfway off screen.

Setting "Open Profile Manager on Restart" posted NOTHING, and disabled almost all of the menus.
And the Quit command stopped working requiring "Force Quit" to kill Postbox.

DO NOT TAKE THIS UPDATE if you run MacOS 10.9.5.

Thank you for the warning! Have you asked @postbox_support on twitter?

William,

You are experiencing trouble because you're running a version of macOS that is not supported. Our system requirements can be found here:

System Requirements

And the required macOS version is also listed on our downloads page:

Postbox Downloads

Postbox 5 has always specified a minimum requirement of macOS 10.10.

You can update macOS to 10.10 or higher (its free), or revert back to an earlier version of Postbox here:

http://postbox-downloads.s3.amazonaws.com/mac/postbox-5.0.18-mac64.dmg

But note that we do not support earlier versions of Postbox nor unsupported OS versions. We hope you understand.

Thanks for the reply Sherman.
I don't know how I missed that 10.10 was the minimum requirement when I went to Postbox 5 over a year ago.

There are people like me who consider Mavericks the last useful version of MacOS.  Postbox turned out to be the
compelling application that drove me to upgrade.

It would have been VERY nice if the original 5.0 installer had flagged that my system did not meet the minimum
requirements.

Thank you VERY much for the pointer to a "last known working" version.

I've upgraded to 10.11 (perhaps I should go to 10.13, but I have limited tolerance for working through changes,
and 10.11 happened to be what I've been running at work for a while.)  Postbox 5.0.22 works fine there.
(Alas, 10.11 broke Time Machine for my external drive, which is not your concern but strengthens
my prejudice that I should have stuck with Mavericks.)
