Postbox forgets 'Star' sorting option

Is anyone else seeing this problem?

I right-click the header of the message list and select 'Date'. then I left-click it so that the messages are sorted with the newest at the top. Then I left-click again and select 'Star' so that the starred messages are pinned at the top. All works as it should.

But then if I close Postbox and restart it, the sorting has reverted to Date only, and starred messages are no longer pinned to the top.

I've been using Postbox for years and this issue has just cropped up recently. I tried un-installing and re-installing, and creating a new profile. That fixed the problem for a couple of days, but then it came back.
