messy conversation view - or: deleting quotes from incoming replys

Hello people!
After a long search i found this forum for Postbox, and i hope there is enough life left in it to help me with a problem.

I am using Postbox for a while now, and lately i ran into a problem with long conversations. While when i am replying to the conversation myself the "summerize" option is active, so i only see "-show quoted text-", this is not the case when other people reply in the conversation. in their reply the whole conversation is quoted, so I have huge replies containing all mails that were exchanged before.

i tried to explain this better in this picture. it is a simple case, where there is only one reply quoted, but this can reach dimensions of up to 10 quoted emails (reply, reply-to-reply, reply-to-reply-to-reply, etc).

In the attached picture i (green) sent an email, quoting a string of emails (the start of the mail frame can be seen at the lower part of the attached picture, under the "Quick reply").
This string of previous emails is hidden under "show quoted text".
As one of my conversation partners (blue) answered, he also quoted my mail. However, this quote is NOT hidden. In principle, i now have my own email not only visible as a seperate email in the conversation view, but also as a quote in his email. after a while, my conversation view therefore looks like this:

You can imagine, as different conversation partners have different options what replys look like, this is almost unreadable after a while.

How can i handle this? is there a why to hide the quotes of incoming mail, or strip it out alltogether? i need a solution for this, i missed several important pieces of mail already because the dissappear in the forrest of quotes.

I'm afraid my solution is not very high tech, but I have found no other, better way to do this. 

What I do is to edit the message and delete all previous replys quoted in the message manually. To do so, right click the message and select "Edit...". If conversation view is activated, you must first press right arrow to open all messages in the conversation, and right click on the message you want to edit:

An editor opens, and you can manually delete the text you want from the email message. After editing, press "save" (not "save copy") to avoid duplicates.

I would have thought they'd have fixed this in 4.0 (haven't upgraded yet, still on Snow Leopard).

This is the ONE thing that Apple Mail does better than Postbox, and it's annoying as hell.
