PostBox Topic Colors Issue when not using "Apply the topic color to the entire row in the message.."

Hi,

i've a big issue with postbox, when unticking the checkbox "Apply the topic color to the entire row in the message pane" under Preferences / Display / Topics no mail subjects in the list view are color coded which makes the topic-feature useless, but sometimes i just want to mark a specific mail from a conversation as "important" and not the complete conversation :( 

When unticking the checkbox, all email subjects are plain black, instead of correctly colored (without coloring the full conversation). 

Am I the only one with this issue?

PS: Didn't try the last update from monday (08/27/2012), because of the negative user feedback on facebook...
