Followed Postbox help article instructions here to prevent Postbox from downloading message bodies, then deleted the cache.

IMAP headers were re-downloaded, bodies not downloaded, and the Postbox cache was thankfully down from 18GB to a more manageable 15MB. So far so good.

This worked well for a couple of days, then mysteriously all the message bodies had been re-downloaded again, even though "mail.server.default.should_store_msg_offline" is still set to false in the config. Have I missed something?

What would be the best way to permanently stop Postbox from downloading message bodies? The mail server is local so it is not really required, though IMAP is required for shared email accounts.

In case there is interest, this issue has been expanded on and discussed previously in relation to TB in corporate deployments:

I have the same problem. Initially it was working, but suddenly I have again almost 20GB of offline data.
