Delete archive files to free space

Hi everyone,
I attach screenshot of the file directory relating to my account.
I need to make space in my hard disk: can you tell me if files starting with "#PB#" can be deleted without affecting my messages? Or if can I delete others?

The #PB# folders are just backups of compacted folders. Can be safely deleted.
