I am a long time user of Postbox, with version 4.0.8 purchased and
installed. I have my email accounts settings set on IMAP, to save disk
space on my MacBookAir. I wish to save copies of my draft messages
offline, but haven't found how to do so. Here is the current situation:
With
currently a lax Internet connection, I switched yesterday to offline
mode while opening Postbox. I assumed that, logically, this would save
the draft messages I wrote in this section on my hard disk, and not on
the server. Unfortuntatly, as I had just finished a message draft, my
Internet connection droped again. I closed (a bit too fast) my message
to save it, and then checked in the Draft folders. There was a warning
the the programme couldn't show the message, as it had not been
downloaded from the server. The following day, without closing the
programme or my computer, the connection was working again, but the
message could still not be seen.
Checking postbox knowledge base,
it indicated to uncheck the offline mode, which I did. But my message
could not be retrieved, and its subject line disappeared totally from my
my Draft box. I noticed that next to the Offline menu was a sub-menu to
choose which folders to keep a copy from on one's disk in offline mode.
I checked several (not all, not to clutter my box), but couldn't find
the Draft folder. It should be noticed that my version is localized in
French, but still drafts should appear in either language, since they
are apparently saved on the server, shouldn't they ?
If someone can tell me how to save my draft messages offline, that would be really great.
