"That's been one of my mantras — focus and simplicity. Simple can be harder than complex: You have to work hard to get your thinking clean to make it simple. But it's worth it in the end because once you get there, you can move mountains." - Steve Jobs

Dear POS Family,

I am proud to announce that POS graduates now have a special opportunity to achieve a
Masters degree. We have developed a unique relationship with the International Medical College (IMC) in the prestigious University of Münster, Germany to offer our graduates a joint academic degree. The degree they are offering is a "Masters in Science in Specialized Orthodontics."

Because of POS' established academic reputation and comprehensive course material, our graduates will be able to get a large orthodontic academic credit and financial discount if they decide to take advantage of their knowledge for a Masters degree.

This Masters degree is internationally accredited by "Akkreditierungsrat" according to the "Bologna Criteria".
This program is based at the University of Münster as well as the Universities of Dresden, Essen, Homburg, Leipzig , Szeged, and with cooperation partners Universities Dusseldorf and Budapest.

Application Process (details)

  • I am accepting applications for 20 spots on a first come, first served basis.
  • To be placed on the list, please send your application with a €300 non refundable application fee.
  • If I have room for you, you will have a specific deadline to pay 50% of the tuition to hold your spot or you will be placed back on the wait list.

Schedule (details)

  1. Apply here with your application fee to get on the wait list. Once you are accepted:
  2. Study online Modules 5 and 8 (as a POS grad, you have passed through the other 6 modules)
  3. Attend 3 weeks of practical training at the University of Münster, Germany
  4. Write a masters thesis.
  5. Attend your final exam and defend your masters thesis.

Costs  (details)

  • The total fee will be €23,000 Euro + airfare to Münster 2x.
  • As a POS graduate, your tuition has been discounted by €10,000. (The program would typically cost €33,000)

My dad and I are personally excited about this new offering. It is a completely optional program and not for all POS members. If you see value in this degree in your part of the world, then I think it is a fantastic opportunity.

If you have any questions, or would like to get on the top of the list, please contact me. If you are ready to join, please fill out the application and send it to me.

P.S.This is a program offered by the University, in affiliation with POS. POS has no control over the program, its administration, or the topics being taught. It is designed to mimic many of the other residency programs in Orthodontics, and this is the basis for the curriculum. You will be paying directly to Germany (except the initial €300 application fee). You are getting credit for the POS work due to our relationship with the university.

P.P.S. The IMC also offers another post graduate program with one of our affiliates, the German Association of Oral Implantology (DZGI). This program gives graduates a "Masters of Oral Medicine in Implantology".
