What is chant4change ?
One month before US Election Day i.e. on Oct. 8, 2016, a collection of musicians and speakers will present Chant4Change, a festival of tolerance, love and unity. All the world’s religions Sufis, Christians, Sikhs, Hindus, Jews, Parsis, Muslims and Hare Krishnas coming and praying on the stage highlighting chanting of holy name of Lord. What’s so special of this event for all of us?
1. First and foremost - Srila Prabhupada had attended America's bicentennial at Lincoln Memorial monument in DC as well. CHant4Change will happen at the same location.
2. One of the biggest gatherings of our programs in USA, around 20,000 people are expected.
3. On the same steps where Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. delivered his powerful, “I Have a Dream,” speech 53 years ago.
4. HH Radhanath swami – the NYT bestseller author will be key note speaker – speech of 45 min. He had cancelled many events this year due to his health, however looking forward to Chant4Change.
5. This event has potency to establish Hare Krishnas and chanting into mainstream. Also Srila Prabhupada's special video will be shown made expertly by Mother Rukmini , SP disciple. We can establish Prabhupada a much more prominent personality in US, if we dedicate to this service.
6. Renowned artist who will be performing are - Kirtan Rabbi (Hebrew), David Newman (American Bhakti), Yono FrenchHawk (Cherokee Native American), Tina Malia (American Bhakti/ Hebrew/ Indian), Mikey Pauker ( Hebrew), Khans - sarod virtuoso (classic Indian), Kabir (Sufi poet), Fanna Fi Allah (Turkish Sufi), Ajeet Kaur (Sikh), Radhanath Swami (NYT best-seller author), Juggernauts (iskon), Mc yogi (hip hop), Jai Uttal (American Bhakti)
