Hiya!
Does anyone know of (or would be interested in) jellies/meetups/
coworking sessions that occur during non-standard business hours? I'm
one of many individuals that has a day-job but still wants to
participate in great creative sessions like these. Things like New
Hampshire Media Makers (http://nhmediamakers.wordpress.com/) are
excellent networking opportunities, but aren't a venue for doing
actual work and are much broader in scope than something like a
Jelly. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Thanks!
- Kevin

Jellies are traditionally targeted at freelancers or independents
because they're the people who are the most isolated 9-5, but I agree
that similar events could definitely benefit everyone. It's really too
bad that there isn't a dedicated coworking space where people can just
drop in any time and do this ad-hoc but the financials just aren't
there.

I'd recommend just starting something. Pick a place, and a date, and
plan on making it a regular weekly or bi-weekly thing, and get the
word out. I think if you do something in the evenings -- or maybe
better, on a weekend. The more people we can get talking about events
on a list like this and attending them, whereever and whenever they
are, the closer we can get towards financing a dedicated space.

Just my two cents :D. Spread the gospel!

Kevin,

I second Nick. Pick a time, a place, and tell people. It takes some
effort: finding interested people, making sure the place works,
showing up when you're the only one, etc. But its worth it! Check out
my friends in Austin for inspiration: conjunctured.com

I'll be there when you get started,

Nathanael
