2. Tabling
If you are a tabler at the 2014 Portland Zine Symposium, you will receive a separate email with tabling check-in information. If you do not receive such an email today, please email
pdxz...@gmail.com to get on the tablers email list.
If you are on the waitlist for Portland Zine Symposium, there are open spaces! Please come to Ambridge Event Center between 10am-noon on Saturday to claim a space. Bring $25 if you want to table both days, $15 if you only want to table one day.
3. Calling all photographers!
+ We are looking for someone who can take photobooth pictures at Zine Prom (Saturday July 12 from 7pm-11pm). We have the background & props covered, we just need a camera and photographer to complete the photobooth. Please get in touch ASAP if this is something you may be interested in helping with (
pdxz...@gmail.com). All zine prom volunteers receive free admission and a free +1 for their help, plus tips for the photobooth operator!
+ We are also looking for people at the Portland Zine Symposium who are interested in helping us document the event through photographs and videos. Do you usually bring your camera and catch the action? Let us know so we can add them to our archive! Organizers try to take pictures each year but we get busy, so it would be great to have someone else take this job.
4. Help us Promote!
We received a bump in promotion earlier this week when
an article about us came out in the Oregonian, but there's always more to be done! Please help us get the word out about
Portland Zine Symposium and all the events surrounding it. Invite all your friends! Tell your neighbors! Spread the word! Use hashtag #pzs2014 and/or #portlandzinesymposium
5. Workshops
Help keep all your PZS weekend plans straight with the
Bloodhound scheduling app, where we have an hour-by-hour breakdown of all our events and workshops.
7. Getting to Ambridge
Transportation is easy, especially if you ride Trimet! Ambridge Event Center is located along bus lines 6/8/17/77 (and nearby 4/44/70), as well as Central Line Streetcar and Green, Red & Blue MAX routes. Bike Parking is available in the main lot in front of the building. Parking in the area is free on Sundays (metered on Saturday).
