Definitely! Check out
http://trailfactorpdx.com/. They are very active. I am in that group as well. If you live in Beaverton your best bet is Forest Park. My favorite start points are the zoo (just off 26) and McLeay Park. You can pick up some good maps at any local running store.
The Zoo is the start of Wildwood and has the most hills on that side. McLeay Park is off of Thurman and in my opinion is the most beautiful part of the park. Some friends and I did the length of WW last year and it is so nice.
I'm on sabbatical from work until next Tuesday so am available to run almost any time (I have a newborn so of course that depends a bit!). I'm always stoked to run Marshall and Tryon. From my front door I can be in Marshall within .5 miles and all the way to Lake O in 30 minutes. The course goes down on road (I live on a steep hill) into Marshall Park and some great (and little used) single track with hills, switchbacks and log crossings. Then up a short stint of road into the great Tryon Creek park (my favorite park ever). Tryon is a 'wagon wheel' of trails with tons of hills.
What kind of running shape are you in? I'm really wanting to do a Gorge or Forest Park run this weekend if possible (I'm not in the best shape right now)...
Let me know. I'm always happy to show you the trails! As I said, I live in SW PDX. My wife and I are both ultra runners so she is OK to let me out ot run! :)
