Hi Portland Area Singers

The Liberty Theater in Camas WA will be screening the excellent Sacred Harp documentary, Awake My Soul (2026 ed), filmed in the US South, re-leased with improved sound and edits and previously unreleased footage. 

Showtimes:  Sunday Aug 9 at 2:25pm.

                     Wednesday Aug 12 at 5:40pm.

The Liberty Theater is 13 miles northeast of Portland in downtown Camas, WA.   (315 NE 4^th Ave Camas WA)

If there is enough interest among local singers, we could pick a showing and attend as a group and plan a short demonstration singing in the theater after the screening.

Perhaps meeting for lunch before or dinner after at the nearby Grains of Wrath Brewery? 

For those interested, perhaps we can discuss the options during our Tuesday, this week, business meeting at Betsy Jeronen's home, 7-9pm.

What a great idea, Thom! Just so that we don’t have to cancel our Sunday singing, I suggest that we go on the 12^th at 5:40. I could bring Cornelia, too, and a meal before or after sounds lovely. Thank you!
