Hi all!
We're less than two months out from our October Convention!
I wanted to send out a few updates as well as requests for volunteers.
Schedule
In addition to our main singing, we have a few extracurricular activities!
Thursday, October 16
- 7-9pm: Third Thursday Shenandoah Harmony singing **at Kennedy School Community Room**
- one-time change of venue from Betsy's common room given we may have more attendees than usual
- I will not be able to attend this singing, so I need a volunteer to be in charge/open the room and set up chairs
Friday, October 17
- 7-9pm: Singing School by David Wright, at the Musician's Union Hall (325 NE 20th Avenue)
Saturday, October 18
- Convention! 9am registration, 9:30-3pm singing at the Laurelhurst Club
- evening social at JJ's house
Sunday, October 18
- Convention! 9 am registration, 9:30-3pm singing at the Laurelhurst Club
- post-singing "afterglow" at a location TBD (probably brew pub)

Volunteers needed!
I am happy to answer questions about what these roles involve. If you're interested in but haven't done one of these roles before, let me know and I'm happy to provide further information as well as "mentors" who have filled the role before. It's always great to get new people involved and spread knowledge around (if you've done the role before and want to do it again that's also great and extremely appreciated!!).
- Saturday and Sunday Beverage Chairs
- Saturday and Sunday Kitchen Chairs
- Registration Chair(s) (either one person doing both days, or a chair for each day)
These chairs will need volunteers to help out, but I will let them do their own recruitment.
Similarly, our POSH Secretary (Nancy) and Treasurer (Gin) may need assistants, but I will let them do their own recruiting.
Okay, I think that's all for now!
