This is a message for folks planning to come to the Cape Meares singing next weekend, Sept 6.
There is a detour again this year west of Tillamook, with Bayocean Rd closed. You need to continue on Highway 131 into Netarts and Oceanside and follow the signs into Cape Meares. It will add about 10 minutes to your drive. Last year they were putting in a temporary new bridge on the road, and this year they are putting in the permanent one.
Also, please remember to bring something for dinner on the grounds if you can. Also if you are camping, bring something to contribute to breakfast. I will have a few breakfast things, but not enough for all the campers!
I will provide chili for Friday night for all campers, but not all beverages or salad.
It looks like the weather will be mild.
We will have a very full singing venue again this year, but I have given up worrying about it! Just don’t tell the fire marshal!

P.S. My daughters deal with dinner on the grounds; they tell me no one eats the salads and such from the Safeway deli in Tillamook. Better to bring cut-up fruit or something less processed if you can’t prepare something yourself.
