Hello singers,

I received an email from J (Friends of Lone Fir Cemetery) asking if we'd like to participate in their Tour of Untimely Departures, happening on October 31st from 5-9 at Lone Fir Cemetery.

I understand the group has done this in the past. Maybe someone who has participated can say more? Last year, it seems they took a year off the big event due to capacity, and couldn't guarantee canopy or chairs for their smaller event.

This year they'd love to have us and can provide a canopy and *probably* chairs, if can give a good estimate.

Do folks want to do this on Halloween? Who would be interested & available?

I'd add, if singing at People's Farmers' Market earlier in the week (10/29) is a deterrent, we can un-schedule ourselves for that; I think singing in a cemetery on Halloween is a more weighty invitation.

What do you all think?

The Tour of Untimely Departures is very fun! Our songs fit right in. The weather is cold sometimes, but since it's a Halloween event, you can put on your heaviest, most outlandish get-up.

We have done this in years past and really enjoyed it. Covid put an end to it and after that a nasty rainstorm canceled it.
I’d be happy to go again.

In the past we've had straw bales to sit on.  Fun!

Hello singers,

This is to confirm we are down for singing at Lone Fir Cemetery's Tour of Untimely Departures on Friday October 31st, 5pm-9pm, or some portion of that time.

They will have chairs and canopy (maybe straw bales). I estimated up to 20 people, will try to get a headcount when it gets closer.

Next question:
Do folks think this should replace our earlier plan to sing on Wednesday 10/29 at People's Farmers' Market for Spooky Market? Is one spooky singing event in a week enough spooky singing? 🦇

Let  me know if you'd like to ALSO sing at spooky market on Wednesday; otherwise I'll take that off the market calendar.

thank you,
tamara

I guess I’d say one is enough.
