Book Repair Added to Repair Café

Saturday, June 14, 12-3 pm @ Leaven Community

Address: 5431 NE 20th Ave., Portland

 

Our Repair Café volunteers will be repairing damaged books in addition to fixing outdoor gear, small appliances, garments, bikes, dull knives and tools. Come join us this Saturday!

 

Please use the link below to let us know what you plan to bring. This is not a reservation system, since we work on a first-come, first-served basis. It helps us know what's coming and bring the right tools and parts!

 

Just a reminder, multiple items are OK, although fixers will only work on one item during each person's turn (then it's fine to get back in line). Walk-ins also are welcome!

I recently successfully repaired my Denson book with some ph neutral book binding glue and following this tutorial - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TtShTOyBY0g. Happy to lend the glue to anyone who needs it!

Didn't do a perfect job, but I think it'll hold up til September.
