Dear Portland Chefs' Collaborative folks,

I work with Oldways, the Boston-based non-profit that helped found the Chefs' Collaborative way back in the sands of time.  I'm writing today to extend an invitation for any interested Portland Chefs' Collaborative members to attend a FREE whole grains foodservice workshop that the Whole Grains Council will be holding on the afternoon of Wednesday February 2, 2011 in Portland.

Our goals with this workshop are to offer useful and practical information about working with whole grains in foodservice, and to provide an opportunity for distributors & brokers, food manufacturers, and chefs & other foodservice operators to exchange information about their respective needs -- so that the three groups can succeed together.

When: Wednesday February 2, 2011 from 1:00-4:00 pm
Where: The Nines Hotel, 525 SW Morrison, Portland, OR 97204
How much: Free

I've attached a flyer with more information about the Whole Grains Foodservice Workshop, and about our conference, Whole Grains: The New Norm, with which this workshop is associated. The link to register is  http://guest.cvent.com/d/ddqf9f -- which is also printed in the flyer.

(Free? What's the catch? There is none. We're holding the conference anyway, so the space is paid for -- which lets us extend a welcome to the local community to get involved in our end-of-conference workshop at no charge. No hidden agenda -- we're just doing our 501-c-3 best to educate people about whole grains.)

Please call me at the numbers below if you have any questions. We appreciate your help in spreading the word to any of your members who might be interested.

I hope we'll see you in Portland!

Best regards,
Cindy
