Well this isn't the way to make friends. I'm deeply sorry to have to announce that I won't be able to present to the group tonight -  my attendance has been requested at a board meeting for a local nonprofit, an important client of mine. I have to go argue for a budget increase at this 6 - 8 PM meeting and there's no way around it.

Is there anyone else that could take my list of talking points and run with it? Or if not, I'll be happy to try take two next month.

Terribly sorry for the late notice. (Generally it's love over gold, but gold + love must bump appointments involving love alone.)

If anyone else can take the baton, email me and I'll try to help.

:(

Well - I think it's important to have this meeting. You will be sorely missed and hope you can come to the next one.
Any notes you can send before the meeting would be awesome. Talking points would be great.

Good luck with your client! We're rooting for you.

Marcus - Can you make your pitch early in the board meeting and then head over to present to us?

Alex.

Yike - that sounds too much like cutting it close. I'm okay with just the notes. :)

I wasn't able to get a time vcommitement from the board about when my segment is scheduled, so there'd be no way to promise my attendance.

I'll spend some time this afternoon making my notes sensible, and hopefully you can all walk through them together and discuss. Maybe that's a more fun way to do this anyway. It'll require audience participation!

I can't meet up in Alberta - but it sounds like fun! (I've got client work to do). If I finish early, I'm up for it,

OK, we'll just turn this into an open pubsubhubbub discussion.

That sounds good, too.

Can we get the basic overview? Look at examples?
