After looking over Michelle's shoulder tonight, I decided to try the
Dapper Factory. So I created an account and started creating a "Dapp".
I went to http://www.dapper.net/open/ and clicked on "Create A New
Dapp". Then I put a Wikipedia page in as the URL. Then I pressed the
"Next Step" button. Well, Symantec / Norton Internet Security threw a
hissy fit:

Fraudulent Web Page Blocked
You attempted to access:

http://www.dapper.net/dapp-factory.jsp

This web page is a known fraudulent web page. It is recommended that
you do NOT visit this page.
For your protection, this web page has been blocked. Visit Symantec to
learn more about phishing and internet security

So is Norton paranoid, or is there really some reason I shouldn't
continue this? I am on Windows Vista. I suppose I can try this on
Linux with Firefox, but I'm more interested in why Norton thinks it's
a phishing site. Anybody posessing a clue?

I've clearly been burying myself in Linux too long. :)

I've never met a happy clam. In fact, most of them were pretty steamed.

If I remember correctly, Norton bought the firm who provides the rogue website filtering/list feature set sometime last year. What I also recall is that users can submit sites to that filter, so there's a chance that it was a mistake or an intentional snub to Dapper. So you are OK to white list the site, I use it quite regularly and I know of no rogue activity.
