Contributing for GSoC 2018

I am Nikhil Ranjan, a third year student majoring in Computer Science and Biological Sciences, at BITS Pilani, India, which is ranked as the top private university in India. I am writing to ask about contributing to Increase Crawling Performance through page clustering project. I want to ask if there is any initial task or should I start working on the proposal.
