Most of the cheats I try in Sims 4 are not working. I usually play without cheats, so this is the first time I tried using them in The Sims 4 (although I think I used the motherlode cheat just after my sister and I got the game to see if it is still the same, and it worked). Her game's cheats are working perfectly fine, but mine aren't, all of the sudden.
I thought typing "testingcheats true" first would help - it worked (says "Cheats are enabled"), but the other cheats like motherlode, freerealestate, katching, etc. still don't work. I didn't try all cheats as that would take forever, so I can't name all that aren't working. I updated my game today as well, but still nothing. I haven't played the game for a month, but I didn't change or move any files in the mean time. I don't see why it would suddenly stop working...
I don't work or have any association with EA. I give advice to the best of my knowledge and cannot be held responsible for any damage done to your computer/game.

Make no mistake: in this diary, I am but a vessel for the lives of these Sims. They were given full lives (or as full as they can be). They were endowed with personalities, families, hopes and dreams. I built them houses. I tended to their whims and caprices. And then I let them waste away. I call this Simento Mori.
The third rule is that each Sim must be randomised. This keeps you from getting attached, or bogged down in what any particular Sim looks like. You might be surprised by how robust the randomise feature is in The Sims. I got some real winners. And spectacular losers.
The fourth rule, that play must be rotational, gives equal facetime to all Sims. Don't play favourites. Once all the Sims have been given families and houses, play takes place in fifteen-minute intervals focusing on one family at a time until death. Even while playing one household, other households will continue living their lives until they don't.
It was a feat to schlep each individual dog back and forth to the only vet clinic three neighbourhoods over. By the time I got every dog to the vet and back again, they promptly began rolling around in their own mess and got sick again like some sort of escalating farce where nary a man nor a dog -- nor a Kat -- may know peace.
So I suppose it should have come as no surprise that the first death of my nihilistic crusade to total annihilation was a dog. I was unprepared for this. Human-sims? Sure, that was the whole point. But dogs? I should have thought it through. Of course the dogs would have been the first to go. The Sims is a cruel mistress, and Death had come.
Truly, the Sims played me for a fool. When I began my experiment in full at the beginning of the year, I came to a tentative understanding of the inner-workings of The Sims: the game appeals to us so that we can make life after life after life, only to abandon them without consequence. And so, I am carrying on in spite of the game's injuries. I continue to endeavour to discover how The Sims may come unravelled at its seams.
This Sims 4 Cheats and Secrets guide details everything you need to know about cheat codes on the PS4 and PS5 consoles. In addition, this cheats guide will also detail how to enter cheats, as well as a complete list of all cheat codes, such as career and relationship-based cheats, unlimited money, and much more.
It is also important to note that, unlike the PC version, you will also have to give up earning Achievements and Trophies should you wish to activate cheats. Before we continue, please note that the following list of cheats and secrets has yet to be fully tested on the PS4/PS5, so keep that in mind when entering them into your game.
Once opened, the cheat console will appear as a thin box at the top of the screen. Into that, you can type any of the cheats below or on other pages. To close the cheat console, simply press the same keys or buttons.
While motherlode and rosebud are beloved cheats, an easier way to get your sims the Simoleons they need is by typing "Money X" with X being the amount you want to give your household. You can also use this to subtract funds from your household.
In the Objects by Function menu select the Decorations tab. Go to the Misc decorations, scroll through all the new items, and you'll find Sugar Skulls and the other event collectibles. Buy them, drop them in the world, and have your Sims put the items in their inventory to have them add it to their "Household Collections."
While in the cheats console for the PS4 or PS5, if you enable additional cheats using the testinghcheats true code and then type in cas.fulleditmode, you will enable all CAS abilities. Then you can press X + Circle on the selected sim to enable the sim or object interaction menu.
The MoveObjects (or Move_Objects) cheat is a classic from the Sims franchise, and it returns in The Sims 4. To activate it, you must first open the cheat console. Into the box, type the following line including punctuation:
MoveObjects used to be used in the Sims franchise to shift household objects when Sims were stuck. The cheat is no longer necessary for this; even without cheats or mods, you can move objects at any time even if a Sim is interacting with them, and the Sim will terminate their actions and reset themselves to a nearby tile.
Since the first installment of The Sims in 2000, players have always been encouraged to modify aspects of the game to suit the kind of experience they want. Some players create mods that can be used in Create a Sim. Players also experiment with testing cheats, to give Sims skills and unlock special items without putting in so many hours of play. The motherlode cheat increases the amount of simoleons in the household by 50,000.
However, not all players enjoy using cheats. Some prefer to "earn" their money by sending their Sim to work or selling objects they have created. This guide will help gamers that want to try and navigate the Sim world without using the motherlode cheat in The Sims 4.
There are cheap residential properties that are available to purchase on almost all of the Sim worlds. Residential properties that cost less than 20,000 are listed in the table below. Advantages of purchasing a house that has already been built include saving time at the beginning of the game, the ability to style the interior and exterior of the building and the ability to expand the house when money is available. Disadvantages include not being able to structurally and creatively design a house from scratch, something that a lot of players enjoy.
It is important to remember that bills fluctuate based on how expensive everything is on the lot. This means that pools, hot tubs, and other luxurious items can increase the household's bills and eat away at leftover money. Players can keep costs low by using the existing furniture that comes with the house, and only purchasing expensive items when sufficient funds will be left over to cover bills. Moreover, gamers can wait to make big purchases until the Rebate Day holiday happens[TS4:S]. Rebate Day is a random holiday that can appear in a Sim's calendar, which provides a 10% rebate on the price of items that cost 500 or more. Players who opt to build a house will have to keep everything modest, and add onto it as the Sim earns money.
There are blank lots featured in every world in The Sims 4. These allow players to build their house from scratch with complete creative freedom. The Newcrest neighborhood may be the best place to start, as it contains several inexpensive blank lots, leaving players with enough money to build a house. The advantages of purchasing a blank lot include building a house from scratch, and being able to design a house that can easily be expanded and modified when required (eg. adding another bedroom or building a second floor). The disadvantages include the time it may take to build the house, running out of money before it is finished and not leaving enough money at the end to cover the first bill.
Creative Sims can make extra money painting and creating woodworking crafts while they pursue a career in the Arts, and Writers can make extra money self-publishing their own books. These are skills that can be monetized whether or not the Sim is employed with the associated career path that will help them build these skills. Therefore, a Sim could be employed in the Tech Guru career path, and sell paintings to the gallery for two sources of income. Diversifying their income will enable them to build up their bank account, and pay for their housing costs.
The online stores Plopsy[TS4:NKS] and Trendi[TS4:HSY] are useful as additional sources of income. While they allow Sims to sell paintings, woodworking crafts, photographs, and fashion outfits for more money than their usual value, they involve potential offers that have expiration dates, after which the items that were listed for sale would have to be listed again. As a result, the use of Plopsy or Trendi should generally be avoided until after the Sim's bank account is built up enough for them to do so.
On my annual launch of The Sims 3, the same routine applies each time: create family, motherlode, motherlode, make out, try for baby. From this, you can obviously tell that the possibility of your characters being able to search the newspaper for first time jobs and climb the social scale doesn't really appeal to me. Decorating and fitting my characters mansion with the most expensive electronics is the peak of my Sims 3 experience, this was further heightened when I was confronted with the option to use my new selection of "high end loft stuff".
After an hour and a half of dedicated renovating (and a not-so-happy boyfriend left to fend for himself on The Walking Dead), it was time to progress on expanding the Bailey family. This didn't take long to put into action after my realisation that I'd forgotten to set my Sims age to "Young Adult" and that they would be turning to elders in just fourteen Sim days, which only accounts to five real life hours. A few evident occasions of morning sickness later, I received the heart-swelling notification that it was time to take my Sim to hospital.
