An exclusive partnership between Testo Industrial Services & KEYENCE - Testo Industrial Services together with KEYENCE developed an individual accredited procedure for carrying out accredited calibrations (DAkkS).

As a leading manufacturer of sensors, measuring systems, marking systems, identification systems, microscopes and vision systems, KEYENCE is a global leader in factory automation systems. KEYENCE also offers excellent after sales service. Thanks to the exclusive partnership with Testo Industrial Services, measuring systems can be calibrated to the highest quality standards. The exclusive partnership guarantees accredited calibrations with international quality standards and short downtimes through an optimised logistics concept. The scope of accreditation includes the devices of the IM, VHX, VK, VR and LM product series. Further KEYENCE devices on request: info(at)testotis.com

I can still remember how the foundation for a successful working relationship with KEYENCE was laid at Control 2012 in Stuttgart with our Sales Manager Arnt Knig. Here, the measurement technology manufacturer was looking for a calibration service provider for the IM-6020/IM-6020 measurement scanners, which were new at the time. With simple means, such as DAkkS-traced glass scales, we began to develop a calibration concept that now includes more than 12 types of instruments with a measuring range of up to 300 mm. With the original calibration kits directly from Japan, we now represent the manufacturer's standard in Europe as well and can also offer adjustments for many devices. Significant value has been added for our test equipment management customers as the equipment no longer needs to be shipped to Japan.

Years of experience in measurement and calibration technology make Testo Industrial Services the ideal calibration service provider. Our full-service concept is reflected in our complete service portfolio.

Increasing quality demands and strict regulations lead to more and more requirements in production and manufacturing. The number of measuring techniques used is constantly increasing. From incoming goods to after-sales service - quality-relevant measuring tasks must be monitored, documented and carried out with the correct test equipment. This requires not only many widespread standards such as the ISO 9000 series, but also industry specific standards such as IATF 16949 or the EU GMP guidelines.

The test equipment management and the calibration of your measuring instruments make a significant contribution to increasing your manufacturing quality. As a full service provider in the field of measurement technology, Testo Industrial Services is the ideal calibration service provider. In addition to ISO/factory calibrations, we also offer UKAS calibrations according to ISO/IEC 17025:2017. Our 300 accredited calibration procedures within a wide range of measurement parameters characterize our service portfolio.

UKAS accredited calibrations are standard in many industries. Testo Industrial Services Ltd. has an accreditation according to ISO/IEC 17025:2017 as a calibration laboratory. With our many years of know-how, we calibrate your measuring instruments under strict processes and according to the latest standards.

In our laboratories we calibrate your test equipment independently of the manufacturer and with the lowest possible measurement uncertainties. Take a look at our laboratories and convince yourself of our extensive service portfolio.

NBS Handbook 145, 1986, Handbook for the Quality Assurance of Metrological Measurements, by John K. Taylor, and Henry V. Oppermann is out of print and the majority of content has been updated and published in the publications noted below. HB 145 was developed as a source of calibration procedures for weights and measures laboratories and covered mass, length and volume calibrations for field standards used in the commercial marketplace. The original Table of Contents and several Legacy sections are provided here as reference only. The Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs), Good Measurement Practices (GMPs), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that have not been updated are available on the linked pages as scanned PDF copies and are dated 1986.

There are many updated GMPs, GLPs, and SOPs in the following publications that were originally published in HB 145; only updated versions are provided here when available. There are also quite a number of new GLPs, GMPs, and SOPs that were not originally part of Handbook 145. However, the organization of the sections and procedures on this and linked pages follows the format of the original Handbook 145, Table of Contents. Individual sections and procedures are provided to enable periodic updates of selected content as needed and to provide downloadable copy for laboratories to review, modify, and implement as needed and as appropriate. It is a good practice to verify that you have the latest version of a procedure by checking this site on a periodic basis.

It is therefore the ideal tool for any tradesperson who is involved in the installation or maintenance of refrigeration units, potentially helping save them a significant amount of time and money in the long run.

As a handy feature, the testo 552 can only be calibrated in the field through a double keystroke input. This will help you avoid accidental calibrations. Further instructions can be found in your testo 552 instruction manual.

Your testo 552 is built with durability and reliability in mind. As such, you should never be required to clean the sensor of this instrument, unlike the Pirani sensors used in vacuum gauges such as those provided by CPS, or the Javac Acravac.

When cleaning the outer housing of the device, do not attempt to clean the sensor itself, as this could lead to deviations in measurement. Only clean the instrument housing, and do not use aggressive cleaning agents or solvents. Instead, use soapy water or other mild household cleaning agents.

Instrument manufacturers are continually developing new and innovative products. For instance testo has just launched a new range of Smart probes for HVAC/R contractors. The new range measures parameters such as temperature, pressure and airflow. Testo Smart Probes are supported by easy to download Apps which make the applications considerably easier thanks to a Bluetooth connection to a smartphone or tablet.

Sometimes customers require new equipment to be delivered with a calibration certificate rather than a C of C. More often organisations require their instrumentation to be calibrated periodically. In both cases Testo offers two recognised standards of calibration:

The simplest temperature calibration, for instance, may involve the instrument being checked against a single reference temperature. However, this does not check that the instrument is accurate across the range, therefore most calibrations are carried out over a range of temperatures.

The answer to this question is not simple as there are different factors which contribute but essentially the process of delivering a technically competent calibration has inherent costs associated with it. In other words the cost of the instrument is not directly related to the cost of the calibration, and as already explained earlier it depends on the level of calibration chosen. Costs which contribute can vary such as reference equipment purchase price, other testing apparatus required such as a wind tunnel, on-going equipment maintenance including re-calibration, maintaining good quality processes and of course manpower.
