hi if you're reading this, i assume you've been playing minehut just fine for like three days. then out of nowhere, your server wouldn't start one day. you'd click the button and nothing would happen. you just spent around a half an hour trying to fix this.
you googled "minehut server wont start" and you clicked on every link that showed these forums. all the OPs described the exact issue you're having (some of these are years old, meaning they still haven't fixed this issue after YEARS of it being a thing)
all the replies are either assholes telling them to "post in the correct section" or other people saying "i have the same problem" (terrible forum etiquette, you can tell peoples' age and sensibilities, but i guess this post is part of the problem)
I think this keeps happening because Minehut itself is having troubles with their servers. It all seemed to happened at once for me and a few friends. Although I can't find anything anywhere about the activity of their servers or problems it seems to be the best answer.
I was playing yesterday on my server with one other person, we started playing around 10:30 PM PDT, and we got locked out by the time limit at around 1:30 AM PDT. Now its about 11:30 PM PDT and I tried to go on the server and it still says I've used my daily limit. If it resets the count at 1:00 AM Pacific, how did I get locked out last night, and how am I still locked out?? I know for a fact no one has played on the server today
Custom plans are located on the server dashboard not from the server plans list. From the server's settings (dashboard) you will need to scroll a little bit and you'll see a section called "Server Specs" selecting any of those options will remove the daily limit.
Also, if you vote every day and buy the $5 credits option and cancel the subscription immediately, you can have your server running 24/7 for 8 months using the 24/7 custom plan, and depending on the other options you may even be able to get it to run longer.
4 hours is plenty of time if you have a "busy life" like you say, also considering voting takes 15 seconds. Also, Minehut has been running at a loss for a while as Sam D said in the announcement, so there isn't much past profit to use. Minehut needs to make more money if it wants to survive. Servers are still free, and 4 hours is plenty of time to catch up with friends.
Further, voting every day and watching 10 ads in the lobby (US players only) every day is enough for 1200 credits/month. With this you just need to spend like 8 days a month of doing that to remove it for free, not the whole month.
It isn't even four hours anymore. I got kicked after two, which is honestly just unplayable. The entire reason I came here was to have fun with friends, but two hours simply isn't enough to get into the experience and have fun before getting yanked out violently by the limit. To anyone on the staff team reading this, please, do what you can to raise the limit. I'm not asking for it to be removed, I can see why it's there, but seriously, listen to the backlash. There's merit to both sides, and they should both be heard. I think four hours is already pushing the boundaries of people's patience, but two hours? What are we supposed to do with that? And before someone tells me to simply vote and watch ads, I shouldn't have to watch a series of ads and do a few half-hearted votes on random sites that I don't even bother reading because I'm only doing it to get rid of a garbage update every day of the year to be able to have a decent experience. People come to Minehut for the free experiences, there are kids like me just trying to have fun with friends who can't afford to host a server for that, or who don't have the knowledge to set up their own. If you send the free experience down the drain, you're sending plenty of players with it. My dream is that the limit be removed, my hope that it gets raised back to the previous numbers, but my expectations are that this message will be read and completely ignored, alongside the outrage of literally everyone.
I cant understand how can I get remove time limit from voting.

Last night me and my friend disconnected, we have woken up this morning to see it's spawned us without our armour or items. The worse thing is we've lost our house since we're in a completely different place too! Does anyone know how to fix this?
You most likely forgot to do /save-all before shutting down/leaving your server. I would advise that you always save before going off, as this mitigates the risk of a world wipe. As for reverting your world: if you have recently saved it from the Minehut control panel, then you can contact Minehut support at (click the blue Contact Support button at the bottom of the page) and ask if they have a backup of your world stored somewhere. Alternatively, if you have a downloaded file of your world, prior to the wipe, you are able to upload it, using the guidance given here.

Our server owner seldom puts server online, like only couple times a week, so I wonder does the owner really have to be online, ie. having his computer turned on(meaning not necessarily playing the MC at that time).
No. You can join the Minehut server mc.minehut.com and do /join servername so if the first part of the IP of his server is, say, Survival as in Survival.minehut.gg you'd join the Minehut server and do /join Survival it will then automatically start the server and after a while you can join for yourself.
Your friends can start the server themselves without having to tell you to start it. All they have to do is join the Minehut lobby (minehut.com) and do /join . If the server is online, it will automatically start it. Then do the command again in a few minutes leaving time for it to start. Also you should whitelist your server if its private so random players can't join like this.
minehut already has so many options when it comes to making money. ranks, credits, ads, upgradable servers, monthly plans etc... enforcing a LIMIT and completely stopping players from playing on certain servers for a long time period will make them switch to other free server hosters because no one wants to pay for the $5 credit subscription when there are hundreds of other FREE server hosting options. matter of fact I think minehut might lose players and therefore lose money
Hi sorry can you explain how to use this $5 credit option to have the server running for 24/7 for 8 months, Im on the server plan page and i dont understand how using the $5 credit option gives us 8 months of server time thanks.
If it Resets why do i only have 30 Minutes left on the server despite it being Reset 4 hours ago?
Plus if i were too Vote for the Server to get the Free Credits its going to take 80 days to get a month.
So my server won't start even tho the start button is right there on the console i keep pressing the button and it won't do anything it just doesn't start I keep going on the minehut lobby do /join (the name) and it says my server is offline but it again, won't let me start
If you press start, is it just stuck in hibernation? Or does it go from like starting to offline? If it goes from starting to offline, can you send your server logs here in a pastebin.com after it goes offline. What does it exactly say when you do /join ? Because it should say like starting up the server if its offline. Then doing it again a few minutes after originally doing it will teleport you to your server.
So when im in the minehut lobby i do /join (than my server) and when i do that it says Sending You To then right under that says in red cannot connect to server host or fallback server, please try again later: then this giant text msg
