Sharing this report from GFDA after our meeting last week. They did a housing assessment, which showed them important information about what needs they will have based on projected growth in Great Falls. We talked about a medium/low income housing assessment at last week's meeting. This isn't exactly that, but along those lines. They worked with The Concord Group.

Excellent!  Thanks for flagging this.  Similar to what we want to do.  Would you want to call and ask more about the study and what we want to do?

Mary, I was going through my 1,000s of emails and just saw your reply from May. I am so sorry I missed this!

I wanted to point out that they provide a link to their full study, which has an incredible amount of detail. They considered Teton County in part of their assessment, but not in terms of residential assessment. What is most interesting to me is that they concluded they need more rental units (obviously), but they actually recommend more high-end units. They found that many higher-income people are renting lower-value units than they can afford (possibly because there are so many older buildings in GF), and that this is pushing out lower-income people from having access to those units.
