CAPA activities and new Community Coordinator

Hello Community Supporters!

Since its creation in 2017, CAPA has been engaged with community organizations supporting economic development.  I'd like to introduce you to our new Community Coordinator who will work with you on present and future projects - Sandra Dogiakos <sandr...@gmail.com>  She has long been involved with Choteau activities and brings skills and enthusiasm to our efforts.  Contact her if you have any questions about CAPA  or have partnership opportunities. 

We've been quite active in recent years and have just received a significant tourism grant from MT Department of Commerce which we are finalizing.  Our efforts include:

• Child Care -  grant and start up support for CYA our licensed community child care center.
• LWCF grant with Lions Club - rebuilt the tennis courts and assisted with pool equipment.
• Tourism Marketing - on-going marketing of Choteau along with Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Business Improvement District.
• Development of Community Calendar with Extension
• Housing Rehab grant with City of Choteau - funding available for health and safety upgrades to Choteau homes.
• Sponsoring Feasibility Study for Old Hospital for housing and child care facility.
• Sponsoring Bear-Smart grant
• Sponsoring Commerce PCTGP which will upgrade Weatherbeater, Old Trail Museum, and Montana Dinosaur Center in Bynum.  

  We meet monthly on the 4th Thursday. We appreciate all of the support and cooperation from our friends and partners.
