Dear All,

I have an WCM search requirement using Portal Search Capability and I have implemented this with "English" language search key word.

But I have to implement  same for the  Arabic language .

      Library Name      : Hukoomi
      Library Language  : English.
Each Content Info :   English Title & Arabic Title.

When I am trying to search "Arabic" text in 'SearchCenter" Portlet, I am not getting any search results.

I have done some POC ,When I am selected Library language  as "Arabic" then I am getting search results with Arabic search text.
But  my existed library language is "English"Can any one suggest how can I proceed ??

Thanks&Regards,
Ramu Yerra,

Hi Ramu,

If you are using MLS then there shouldn't be a problem, according to user/browser language library will be picked automatically by search engine.

Thank you

Hello Ramu

Please check the following steps whether you are followed or not

Each Library required one search collection for example
if you have 2 library
1.  English
2. Arabic

we have create two search collection in portal administration
English Search Collect ion
Arabic Search Collection

now we have to configure the  search component in respective libraries and mapping to respective search collation

Thanks & Regards

Hi Srinu,

Thanks for the reply and in our case we have only one library for both .It means

   Library Name : Hukoomi
   Library Language :  English

In this Library we have multiple contents  and each content will have  below AT definition.

   Content Elements : Title EN,Title AR,Body EN,Body AR

So each and every content will have the information according to the AT elements .So content it self we will have Arabic and English Information.

So now I created two collections, one is for English Language Specific and another one is for Arabic Language Specific for this  Library.

I am able to search the English Text in English Collection ,But I am not able to do for the same for the Arabic Text.

Please advice if you have any solution for the above scenario.
Thanks&Regards,

Ramu,

What is the search engine you use for this requirement?

If it is good SE, and since you didn’t separate libraries for different languages…you can write custom plugin and this plugin will get the right content from search collection.

By the way, how did you create different search collections for one content item? I know we have option on content level whether content that content will be available to search collection.

My suggestion, if you are still in the beginning stage. Implement MLS for these two languages, this is very straight forward approach.

Regards,
Ravi
