Portlets Split and Segregations

Hello Team,

Does anybody know the steps for split and segrgate the portlets.

I have one .WAR file with 18 porlets. I want to split them into three .war files like 7 Portlets ,6 Portlets and  5 Portlets . These portlets are developed on JSR286 and Portal V8.0. And some of them have events.

Please let me know if there ary steps or need to follow best practices.

Praveen, as far as I know, you need to create 3 portlet projects and move code respectively. And you may have to re wire them because you're are using portlet events.

But any reason behind splitting them into multiple? Are they all independent?

Hi Ravi,

Thanks for your response.

Basically, it is becoming difficult to manage the code and also for deployment.

For a small changes we need to send entire .ear. And most of the portlets are independent . I have recognized the dependency of the portlets and trying to segregate accordingly. If you have any best practices to follow for this task. Please send the same
